MEA1266C Laboratory Procedures II4 credit hour(s)
Prerequisite(s): BSC2085 , HSC2531 , and MEA1265C
The course provides students with knowledge of clinical microscopy techniques and procedures that may be performed in CLIA-exempt laboratories. The student will gain insight into laboratory procedures and be able to recognize signs and symptoms that could indicate to physicians a need for laboratory testing. Introduction to the origin and morphology of blood cells. Normal and abnormal functions of blood cells and the functions will be demonstrated in both the laboratory and lecture, including the proper collection, testing, and significance of laboratory testing. Contact: 4 hours. Does not count toward A.A. degree.
