ENC1102 English Composition II3 credit hour(s)
Prerequisite(s): grade of C or better in ENC1101 .
This course affords students the ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to write clearly and engage in public speaking. Incorporates the process of expository and persuasive writing that the student learned in ENC1101 . The major elements of the course are inductive and deductive reasoning, evidence, audience, style, and fallacies. Written work (6,000 words minimum) includes a research paper. Lecture: 3 hours. Substantial writing component. Fulfills state writing requirement.
