Program Purpose:
This program prepares students for careers in healthcare administration, teaching skills in electronic health records, medical insurance verification, billing and coding, correspondence, physician support, and appointment triage. Program completers can earn certifications in Electronic Health Records, Medical Billing & Coding, and Medical Administrative Assistant.
Program Length:
1,050 clock hours
Admission Requirements:
Students must be a minimum of 16 years of age to enroll in this program.
Note: Students must take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) within the first six months of participation in the program or present evidence of allowable substitute. (Learn more .) In order to successfully complete the program, students must earn a score of 10.0 or higher in language, reading and mathematics.
