PRN0291C Medical Surgical Nursing II0 credit hour(s)
This course focuses on the care of surgical patients with gastrointestinal, neurological, urinary, reproductive, and oncologic conditions. Students will learn to identify symptoms, diagnostic tests, medication, and nutritional needs related to these disorders. Emphasis is placed on recognizing psychological distress and providing comprehensive patient care through simulation, lab, and clinical experiences. This course includes 150 hours of clinical or simulation experiences. Contact: 300 clock hours. Additional fee. Does not count towards A.A. or A.S. degree.
