Students will learn entry-level skills for the outboard marine service industry. Hands-on training combined with laboratory and classroom experiences gives the student a full understanding of workplace safety and organization, trailer service, various boat materials, 2-stroke cycle outboard engines, fuel systems on boats, marine electrical systems, procedures for preparing boats to customers, capacitor discharge ignition systems, outboard engine fuel systems, and proper use of computer systems related to parts specialization. Contact: 300 clock hours. Additional fee. Does not count towards A.A. degree.
