Prerequisite(s): satisfactory completion of the general education communications requirement.
A study of the historical background of the New Testament world, the life and teachings of Jesus, the growth of the Christian movement and the emergence of early Christian literature. Attention is given to problems of date and authorship of individual writings. Lecture: 3 hours.
