POS1112 State and Local Government3 credit hour(s) Prerequisite(s): documented exemption, appropriate placement test scores, or completion of developmental education reading and writing. Courses must afford students an understanding of the basic social and behavioral science concepts and principles used in the analysis of behavior and past and present social, political, and economic issues. Topics include: the structure of state and local governments, the social and political influences on states and local governments, and the dynamics of administrative processes. Lecture: 3 hours.
