Prerequisite(s): documented exemption, appropriate placement scores, or completion of developmental education reading and writing.
This course affords students the ability to critically examine and evaluate the principles of the scientific method, model construction, and use the scientific method to explain natural experiences and phenomena. The descriptive study of weather elements including: air masses, fronts, thunderstorms, icing and fog, temperature and pressure, moisture, atmospheric motion, impact of weather on humans, and topics in modern weather science. Lecture: 3 hours.
