Program Purpose:
To prepare students for employment as health information technicians or medical record technicians, or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations.
Employment Types:
Health Information Technicians, Medical Record Technicians in a variety of healthcare settings
Program Length:
70 credit hours
Admission Requirements:
- Standard high school diploma or GED diploma
- Meet the required minimum scores on the Florida Postsecondary Education Readiness Test, SAT or ACT (or complete the necessary developmental courses)
- Satisfactory completion of program prerequisite courses
