PMT0011 Welder, Helper0 credit hour(s) | On Demand This course is comprised of two essential components: introduction to welding and basic shielded metal arc welding (SMAW). This foundation course will familiarize students with the craft, basic shop skills, and basic and intermediate oxyfuel gas cutting principles and practices; basic SMAW skills; basic mathematical skills related to the craft; and the science of welding. Emphasis will be placed on students learning craft safety, and students will complete the OSHA 1926 10-hour safety module. Clock Hours: 250. Lecture: 150 hours. Lab: 100 hours. Does not count toward A.A. degree.
