SOP2740 Psychology of Women3 credit hour(s) | Fall | Spring Prerequisite(s): satisfactory completion of Developmental Writing II (ENC0025 ) and Developmental Reading II (REA0017 ), or appropriate placement scores. A psychological developmental approach to the unique aspects of the female experience. An emphasis on research in the area will be used to explore the historical, social and psychological aspects of female development in American society. Theories of development, psychological influences, sex difference, female achievement and androgyny will be discussed. Lecture: 3 hours. Substantial writing component. Fulfills state writing requirement.
