EME2040 Introduction to Technology for Educators3 credit hour(s) | Fall | Spring | Summer Prerequisite(s): Open only to students who have completed 12 or more semester hours. The purpose of this course is to prepare teachers and future teachers as competent computer-based technologists. This course is designed specifically for education majors. Students will learn how to successfully integrate instructional technology tools into their evolving teaching methodology. Based on the study of a wide range of successful technology integration models currently in use throughout the United States, students will cultivate their own sense of the importance of effective instructional technology modeling as a part of their teaching and learning strategies. This course requires a significant amount of time outside the class using a computer. A minimum 2.5 GPA is required for admission to teacher education programs in all state universities in Florida. Contact: 3 hours. This course fulfills one of the lower division education core prerequisites for teacher education majors.
