A drugstore manager is responsible for the general store, but does not provide direct management of pharmacy staff. All pharmacy staff (pharmacy technicians, clerks, etc.) are directly supervised by a licensed pharmacist, which requires a doctorate degree. The Pharmacy Management A.S. program does not provide the required training to become a licensed pharmacist.
