Program Purpose:
To prepare students for employment in a variety of healthcare settings as health informatics specialist, health informatics technician, health informatics consultant, data quality manager, electronic health records (EHR) manager, EHR clinical coordinator or EHR product representative. Students will apply knowledge of health information and electronic health record systems to function in a supportive role between healthcare providers and data reporting.
Coursework in this program articulates into the Health Information Technology, A.S. (2159) degree program.
