Program Purpose:
To prepare students for employment as health information technicians or medical record technicians in a variety of healthcare settings or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations.
Program Length:
70 credit hours
Admission Requirements:
- Admission requirements are the same as those for admission to the College: standard high school diploma or GED diploma. Most program courses require students to be college-ready, which means the student must have appropriate placement scores, complete any needed developmental education or meet the requirements for a documented exemption.

To satisfy State Board of Education Rule 6A-10.030, students must earn a grade of “C” or better in any Communications, Humanities, Social Science or Mathematics course used to fulfill general education requirements.
