CGS1555 Internet3 credit hour(s) | Fall | Spring Prerequisite(s): satisfactory completion of Developmental Reading II (REA0017 ), or appropriate placement scores. This is a comprehensive course that focuses on the details of the Internet from an intermediate level. Students will compare and contrast Web browsers, search tools and a variety of utilities most often used with current Internet technologies. Hands-on activities include configuring browsers, installing plug-ins, creating and publishing basic HTML documents and uploading/ downloading files and various Web applications. Course content also covers basic e-mail, security and networking concepts related to Internet connectivity. Contact: 3 hours. Additional fee.
