BSC1005 Introduction to Biological Sciences3 credit hour(s) | Fall | Spring | Summer Prerequisite(s): satisfactory completion of Developmental Writing II (ENC0025 ) and Developmental Reading II (REA0017 ), or appropriate placement scores. This course is designed to give a basic understanding of the unity of life and major biological concepts. The course surveys various topics in plant life, animal life, cell biology, anatomy, physiology, reproduction, development, genetics, ecology, evolution and taxonomy. Human life will be emphasized. Intended for non-science majors. Lecture: 3 hours. Cannot be used to satisfy degree requirements by students who already have credit in BSC2011 .
