CJE1641 Crime Scene Technology 13 credit hour(s) This course is a study of the basic scientific techniques used in criminal investigation with special emphasis on the role of the evidence technician in solving crimes. While the more comprehensive facilities of a criminal laboratory are explored, major attention will be focused on the more limited portable devices available to a small enforcement unit. Pertinent criminal law and Supreme Court interpretations are covered as background materials for the consideration of types of physical evidence. Contact: 3 hours.
