ISM3011 Introduction to Management Systems3 credit hour(s) Prerequisite(s): a grade of C or better in CGS 2100 You will study information systems and how information technology is used ethically by organizations to create competitive advantage, support organizational processes, create business value, and ensure operational success. The focus is on significant components of information systems, people, software, hardware, data, ethics, and communications technologies, and how these components can be integrated and managed. This course also introduces systems and development concepts, technology acquisition, management of organizational information management systems resources, and various types of application software that have become prevalent or are emerging in organizations and society.
