EST1511C Motors and Controls3 credit hour(s) Prerequisite(s): satisfactory completion of EET1084C . This course explores the theory and application of AC and DC motors, types of single-phase motors, three-phase power, three-phase motors, remote and local control, forward and reversing motor starters, and various motor control circuits. Wiring and troubleshooting exercises of electric three-phase motor control circuits are emphasized in a wide range of applications. Contact: 3 hours. Course will not count toward credit for the A.A. degree.
