SYG2340 Human Sexuality3 credit hour(s) | Fall | Spring | Summer Prerequisite(s): documented exemption, appropriate placement test scores, or completion of developmental education reading and writing. An introductory course in human sexuality designed to acquaint the student with a broad range of information about sexuality, including historical, cross-cultural, biological, psychological, socio-cultural, legal and ethical perspectives. Topics include research methods, sexual anatomy, arousal and response, sexual communication, reproduction, sexual orientation, dysfunctions, sexually transmitted diseases and sexual ethics. Lecture: 3 hours. Substantial writing component. Fulfills state writing requirement.
