ANT2140 Introduction to Archaeology3 credit hour(s) | Fall | Spring Prerequisite(s): Documented exemption, appropriate placement score or completion of developmental education reading and writing. An introduction to archaeology, tracing the development of theory and techniques. The origins and development of human culture are traced through fossils and artifacts. Case studies from selected geographical areas are presented. Lecture emphasized; off-campus sites visited. Lecture: 3 hours. Substantial writing component. Fulfills state writing requirement.
